Hayden's First Week As a BIG Brother

It was very nice to have Hayden's cousin Thature there for the first week Porter was born. The boys played together, and had so much fun. It was nice because Hayden didn't really notice all the time I was spending taking care of Porter.
Hayden and Thature playing toys
Hayden playing behind the couch while watching a movie
Hayden loved having his Grandma Anderson there to play with. This is them husking corn for dinner, such a good little helper.
Thature and Hayden playing trucks having a good old time
It was fun for me to see Hayden and his Daddy playing together, Hayden loves playing with his Daddy and wrestling around with him.
Grandma Anderson playing with Hayden on the workout ball, he thought it was the funnest thing ever to go back an forth on his tummy on the big ball.
Since Thature's visit Hayden has grown to love Buzz light year. We don't have Toy Story but they brought it with them and he loves it, guess we know what to get him for Christmas.
Reading books with Grandma Anderson was a favorite for him. But his favorite one that he liked to read with her was Go Dog Go. I was precious
Running around the house pretending to fly like Buzz
He also got to go up on the roof and fix some shingles with his Dad and Uncle Court. He had a fun and eventful first week of Porters arrival!

Porter's First Weeks

Porter is 12 days old already. I like to say that those 12 days have gone fast, which they have and he is getting so big already, but they have also gone kinda slow, with lack of sleep, constant feedings, going to and from doctors appointments and the hospital for the odds and ends of test. After next week Porter will be doctor free for a couple months, that is til his next vaccines and well baby check. As for me I have another four weeks until my doctors appointment. Now we just wait for all those expensive bills to come in the mail. Parents really are right when they say kids are expensive to have, but boy are they worth it!

Some of my attempts of trying to be a photographer, I feel so lucky to be able to stay home with him during these first couple weeks. How can I not feel so blessed to be the mother of two adorable, sweet, precious little boys!

LOVE this picture of their two little hands
So SMALL, I wish they would stay little forever
Trying to capture the smile after a good feeding, he never fails to smile

Hayden has been a great BIG brother. It has been a little rough as well, but for the most part he has done really well. This is a bunny that his Dad and him made one day, I love his facial expression in this pictuer
All my Boys! Love them to pieces!

Hayden likes to lay down next to Porter when we are taking pictures, it really shows how little Porter is and how big Hayden is

Hayden feeding Porter from a bottle, he thought is was pretty neat. So funny, whenever I am feeding Porter Hayden always wants some and we keep telling him that mommy's milk is for Porter. So, last night I was feeding Porter and instead of coming up to me he went up to TJ and started lifting up his shirt and asking for milk, trying to lay on his lap and drink daddy's milk. We both couldn't stop laughing,I cant wait to tell him that story when he is older.
Another one of those moments where I realize the size difference between the two boys. Hayden's Head is as big as Porters entire body. haha
A little tummy time

It's A healthy baby BOY!

I started having contraction Sunday evening around 7 PM, but didn't really think anything of it, just thought it was just like all the others and they would go away. Around 9:30 that night they started getting a little stronger and closer together. I told TJ I thought I was going into Labor and he said to just try and go to bed, and that they would probably go away. Well, they didn't end up going away just getting stronger and closer together. It was around 11:30 that he finally believed me and around 12:30AM we called Malorie and Brandon to see if they would take Hayden for the night. We dropped Hayden off at there house where he wanted to sleep on the couch and we headed to the Hospital. I was checked into the hospital around 1AM. I was already dilated to 5cm and asked to get my epidural as soon as possible. About and hour and a half later after 4 pokes of trying to put my IV in my arm, the nurse anesthesiologist was able to com and administer my epidural. By the time she was done giving me my epidural the nurse came and checked me and I was already dilated to a 10! I pushed with the nurse for about and hour before she call the Doctor to come and. Once he was there I pushed 3-5 more times with the help of a episiotomy he came right out. He is a healthy baby boy, and is as perfect as can be! He ended up weighing 7lbs 6oz, 20 inch and was born at 4:13am. We are still trying to decide on a name, so when we know we will let all of our family and friend's know! Hayden is still a little unsure of his brother, he was funny we asked if he wanted to holed him and when we took him out of his baby cart Hayden kept saying, "Put him back" it just made us laugh. Hayden spent the moring at the hospital watching cartoons and eating food, which he loved. He now gets to spend the day and night with the Trost family whom he can never get enough of! Aunt Katy was able to drive down from Blackfoot to come and visit the little man, it was great to see her, she is so good with my boys! We are so grateful to have two healthy Boys, i'm starting to feel out numbered, but I love it! Everyone is doing great!

Right after he was born, all cleaned up. Its crazy how much they change in just a few hours.
So proud of her baby boy, not looking the most attractive but what do you expect after being up all night and just giving birth!

Proud papa! Both looking good as usual.
His first picture with both his parents, we are missing Hayden it was only 4:30 in the morning we didn't want to wake Hayden just yet.

Few hours after he was born, crazy how different he looks already after only being a few hours
What an angle!

Just some more picture of the handsome little man

Hayden first time holding his brother, still a little unsure.

What a precious picture, I love it!
